The American senator called the normalization of relations between Tel Aviv and Saudi Arabia a risky agreement

PNN – American Senator Lindsey Graham said that he would like to help the White House to reach a “risky agreement” in order to normalize relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, in an interview with the CNN news channel, this South Carolina Republican senator said that “time is running out” and asked the American authorities to act.

He continued: “If we can reach an agreement between Saudi Arabia and [the] Israeli [regime], the conflict between the Arabs and Israel will end, it will create hope for the Palestinians and provide security for Israel.”

Graham also stated that he has spoken twice about the issue with US President Joe Biden, along with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan to “help them normalize [relations] with Saudi Arabia and Israel”.

“If you can get this deal, I think you’ll have Republican support in the United States Senate for a treaty between Saudi Arabia and the United States,” Lindsey Graham told the White House.

CNN previously reported that during Graham’s visit to Saudi Arabia late last month, he and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman called former US President Donald Trump and this conversation lasted about five minutes.

Citing anonymous sources, CNN claimed that negotiations to normalize relations [between Arabia and the Zionist regime] were not discussed in this call.

The Biden administration continues to work toward a potential deal that could pave the way for Saudi-Israeli normalization, but most U.S. officials see it as a pipe dream.

Obstacles to the deal include the war in Gaza, Netanyahu’s dependence on his far-right coalition partners, and US domestic politics. The Saudis have clearly stated that in order to advance the normalization of relations with Israel, the Gaza war must end and the Israeli government must commit to an irreversible path towards working between the two countries.
