The American-Zionist Agenda for the Economic Siege of Lebanon’s Hezbollah.

According to Al-Akhbar newspaper, during the extensive war of the Zionist regime against Lebanon last fall, the enemy targeted several locations in the southern suburbs of Beirut, claiming that Hezbollah’s money storage centers were located there. After that, with the instigation of some media outlets inside Lebanon itself, a search campaign was launched under the Sahel Hospital building to find a fortified room containing Hezbollah money vaults.

Then, during the war, the Zionist regime deliberately assassinated several resistance officials who it claimed were the conduit for transferring money to Hezbollah. In April 2024, a team from the Zionist regime’s intelligence service lured the Lebanese money changer “Mohammed Ibrahim Sarwar” to a villa in the Beit Meri area of Mount Lebanon and assassinated him there. The Zionists claimed that the Lebanese money changer was involved in transferring money for Hezbollah and the Palestinian resistance forces.

On the last day of the brutal Israeli war on Lebanon, and an hour before the ceasefire was to take effect on November 27, enemy drones bombed money exchange offices in the Ras Beirut area, claiming that they were being used to transfer money to Hezbollah.

About two weeks ago, the Israeli regime assassinated a money exchange officer and his two sons in an attack on a car in southern Lebanon, claiming that they were also transferring money to Hezbollah.

On the other hand, for the past six months, Beirut airport has been filled with teams that pre-check the bags of every passenger arriving from Iran, Iraq, Africa or other countries, looking for money that the Americans have told Lebanese authorities is being sent to Hezbollah.

But even years before this war, the Americans accused anyone they put on their sanctions list in Lebanon of being involved in corruption or financial cooperation with Hezbollah or businessmen associated with the movement. Security archives from official sources show that the Zionist enemy was recruiting individuals with access to real estate data in Lebanon. Lebanese banks also conducted checks, at the request of the Americans and sometimes without their request, as part of their audits to find any connection between account holders and Hezbollah.
