The Arab League Ministers Meeting from the Perspective of Hebrew Media.
The Walla News website reported in this regard that Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan attacked Israel for opposing the issuance of permits for the presence of foreign ministers of the League countries in Ramallah, emphasizing that Israel has launched a genocidal war in Gaza, while last week a political source announced that the Arab League ministerial meeting in Ramallah would be held to help to declare the existence of a Palestinian state.
The report continues by saying that Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan considered Israel’s opposition to granting permission for the Arab League foreign ministers to travel to Ramallah on Sunday as proof that Israel is opposed to peace.
Farhan made his remarks after a meeting of the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Turkey, which was held in Amman and attended by Abbas via video conference.
The foreign ministers of Egypt and Jordan, who were also present at the press conference, also criticized Israel for this opposition.
According to Walla News, the trip was to be carried out within the framework of Saudi Arabia’s initiative for the efforts of the Arab League and the countries of the Council of Islamic Cooperation to support the declaration of a Palestinian state.
In this regard, the Ma’ariv newspaper also reported that the Arab League countries found a way to meet Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah and held talks with him via video conference.
According to this Hebrew-language media outlet, after Israel opposed issuing permits to travel to Ramallah for ministers from Arab countries, these ministers met in Amman today and condemned Israel’s action.
