The arrest of thousands of Palestinians by the Zionist forces since 2000.
According to the Palestinian media, since the beginning of the Al-Aqsa intifada on September 8, 2000, the Israeli forces have arrested more than 135,000 Palestinians.
According to this report, more than 21,000 cases of these arrests are related to children and more than 2,600 cases are related to Palestinian women, of which 4 of them gave birth to their children in the prisons of the Zionist regime.
Since the beginning of the Al-Aqsa Intifada, about 114 people have joined the list of martyrs of the National Prisoners’ Movement who were martyred due to torture, murder and medical neglect, and the last of them was Khizr Adnan, who increased the number of martyrs of Palestinian prisoners to 237 people.
In another part of this statement, the Prisoners and Freedmen Affairs Committee pointed out the significant increase in temporary arrests, so that 32,000 cases have been issued since the Al-Aqsa Intifada, which includes new arrests and extension of previous sentences.
In the end, this committee emphasized: There are still 5,200 Palestinian prisoners in the prisons of the Zionist regime, among them 38 women and 170 children. Also, 1250 people are in temporary detention and 700 other prisoners are suffering from various diseases, among them 24 people are suffering from cancer.
