PNN – For the first time in several months, Turkish army fighters targeted the positions of the so-called Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the outskirts of Aleppo in northern Syria.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Russia’s Sputnik news agency quoted its sources and added: Several Turkish warplanes entered the Syrian airspace through the northern border and carried out a series of airstrikes against the positions of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the axes of the “Tishreen” and “Deir Hafar” dams in the eastern suburbs of Aleppo in northern Syria.
Sputnik news agency added that it has received information about the amount of damage caused by these attacks.
The sources added that the airstrikes were carried out after a major reconnaissance operation in the northern and eastern outskirts of Aleppo carried out by Turkish drones.
According to the sources, the airstrikes were focused on areas that saw clashes between SDF forces and Turkish-affiliated militias, especially in the axis of the Tasrin dam in the outskirts of Manbij region in the northeast of Aleppo.

Informed sources told Sputnik’s correspondent in Syria that SDF forces announced that they neutralized the attack of Syrian armed groups supported by the Turkish army on villages south of the Tasrin Dam in the outskirts of Aleppo.
According to them, after a number of Syrian armed groups supported by the Turkish army were killed and wounded, this group was forced to flee.
In this context, QSD announced that the Haroon units affiliated with this group succeeded in destroying vehicle carrying ammunition belonging to the Turkish army in the southeast of Manbij.
QSD also added: During the conflict with the Syrian forces supported by the Syrian army in the south and east of Manbij, 72 Syrian forces affiliated with Turkey were killed and dozens of them were wounded.
The US-backed SDF group controls northeastern Syria and does not have good relations with Türkiye. With the domination of the Syrian armed opposition close to Türkiye and the meetings of the senior officials of this group with the American representatives, it is expected that the pressure on the SDF will increase.
