The claim of the American executive: Putin is willing to compromise on Ukraine.
A week after his interview with Vladimir Putin, the popular American host claimed that the Russian president is ready for what he called a “serious compromise” over Ukraine.
“Tucker Carlson”, the famous American presenter who conducted a famous interview with “Vladimir Putin” in Moscow last Tuesday, said that the Russian president is ready to make a “serious compromise” over Ukraine.
This famous American presenter published his controversial interview with Vladimir Putin on Friday morning and announced that the video of this interview, which is more than 2 hours long, was recorded last Tuesday in Moscow, the capital of Russia.
This is Putin’s first interview with a Western journalist since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022.
According to the “Newsweek” website, Tucker Carlson said during a discussion and debate session at the “World Government Meeting” in Dubai, United Arab Emirates: “The leaders of all countries in the world, maybe except the United States of America in the era of unipolar world, because of the nature of their jobs They have to compromise. Compromise is part of their job. The issue of diplomacy is the same. And he (Vladimir Putin) is also one of these leaders.”
The American host said he had other conversations with Putin outside of the taped interview but did not disclose their content.
During the interview with Carlson, the Russian President said that Russia has never rejected talks on Ukraine, but after the disruption of the March 2022 talks in Istanbul, it will no longer take the first step for negotiations.
During the interview with Carlson, the Russian president also accused the West of pressuring Kyiv to withdraw from the previous negotiations between the two countries, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has not been willing to negotiate for peace since then.
Tucker Carlson at the Dubai summit while answering the question of Emad Edin Adib, an Egyptian journalist, about Putin’s desire for a peace agreement to end the war in Ukraine, warned that Putin’s desire for an interview may decrease if the war continues.
He continued: “He’s getting tougher on his stance. The West has rejected Russia. “Putin wants out of this war, but he is not going to welcome more negotiations if this war drags on.”
