The commander of the American ship stationed in the Middle East was removed

PNN – The US Navy has fired Cameron Yeast, the commander of the USS John S. McCain, which has been deployed along with other warships along with the aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt to counter attacks by Yemeni forces on shipping lines in the Middle East.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Stars and Stripes news website wrote that Admiral Christopher Alexander, commander of the aircraft carrier strike group Theodore Roosevelt, stated the reason for this decision was “a lack of confidence in the command of the missile carrier.” The general term “lack of confidence” is used in the US military when there is no clear reason for the removal of a commander from his position.

On October 2023, he took command of the said ship. According to the Navy, he will return to Naval Station Everett, Washington, for temporary administrative duties.

American Defense Minister Lloyd Austin recently announced the extension of the presence of two American aircraft carrier fleets in the Middle East. The Central Command of the US Army in the Middle East (CENTCOM) had previously announced that the second aircraft carrier of the US Navy, the USS Abraham Lincoln, has entered the Middle East with the escort of guided missile destroyers.

Earlier this year, a picture of Yeast firing an M-4 rifle was published, which, according to some military personnel, had its camera installed backwards and facing backwards.
