The commitment of American Muslim community leaders not to support Biden in the election

PNN – During a conference, the leaders of the American Muslim community, while repeating criticism of Joe Biden’s positions regarding the Gaza war, pledged not to support him in the 2024 US presidential election.

According to the International group of Pakistan News Network, leaders of the American Muslim community in several key and decisive states as a result of the country’s elections, during a conference in Detroit, severely criticized Joe Biden’s positions, especially his opposition to the establishment of a ceasefire in Gaza.

According to “Associated Press”, the leaders of the American Muslim community pledged in this conference not to support Biden as the candidate of the Democratic Party in the presidential elections. This decision is taken while the Democrats in Michigan have warned the White House that the way Biden manages the war between the Zionist regime and Hamas could cost the support or lack of support of the Arab American community to influence the outcome of the 2024 presidential election.

Leaders from Michigan, Minnesota, Arizona, Wisconsin, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, Pennsylvania, all holding large banners reading “Drop Biden” and chanting “Ceasefire Now” in Dearborn, Michigan, which has the largest Arab American population among the different states of this country, gathered together.

Their action to not support Biden is done while the Palestinian Ministry of Health on Saturday stated that the number of Palestinian deaths during the war between Hamas and the Zionist regime was about 15,200 and said that almost two-thirds of them were women and children.

According to leaders of the American Muslim community, Biden’s unwillingness to take effective action to establish a ceasefire has damaged his relationship with the American Muslim community. One of these leaders called the process of American support to the Zionist regime during the war tragic and said: families and children in Gaza are destroyed with our dollars.

According to the leaders of the American Muslim community, what bothers them the most in the current situation is that they all voted for and supported Biden during the 2020 election.

Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania were among those states that helped Biden win the White House in the 2020 election. About 3.45 million Americans or 1.1% of the population of these states are Muslims.

Leaders of the American Muslim community stated in this conference that their lack of support for Biden does not mean their support for “Donald Trump”, the candidate of the Republican Party, and that they will have many options to choose from.
