PNN – The US Attorney General has ordered the country’s federal prosecutors to provide evidence to a “grand jury” in the data tampering case related to alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Reuters, US Attorney General Pam Bundy has ordered a federal prosecutor to present evidence to a grand jury in the case of allegations that senior officials in the administration of former President Barack Obama manipulated information related to Russian interference in the 2016 US presidential election in order to link current President Donald Trump to Moscow.
Fox News reported that the one-page order was seen by the network and signed by Bundy yesterday. A source close to the investigation also confirmed the authenticity of the order.
Although the US Department of Justice has declined to comment on the matter, Fox News reported that the US Attorney General took the referrals from Tulsi Gabbard, the country’s director of national intelligence, extremely seriously and considered them clear reason for deep concern and the need for additional action.

The television network emphasized that no charges have been filed or indictments have been issued yet, and that the US Department of Justice is in the early stages of presenting evidence to a grand jury and hopes that this process will lead to a possible indictment.
The US Department of Justice announced last month the formation of a “task force” to assess Gabbard’s allegations that the Obama administration “weaponized the US intelligence community.”
In response to the opening of the investigation, Trump wrote in a message on his social media account, Truth Social, The truth always wins. This is great news.
Trump last month accused Obama of “treason,” without providing evidence, claiming that the former Democratic president orchestrated a conspiracy to link him to Russia and undermine Trump’s 2016 election campaign. Trump won the presidential election that year, defeating Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
In remarks at the White House, the US President, referring to Gabbard’s statements that he had threatened to refer Obama administration officials to the Department of Justice for prosecution over the assessment of intelligence related to Russian interference in the 2016 election, said: Everything is clear and he is guilty. This was treason. They tried to steal the election and hide it. They did things that no one can even imagine, even in other countries!
The US director of national intelligence has alleged, citing newly declassified intelligence documents, that senior Obama administration national security officials fabricated and politicized intelligence assessments about Russian election interference. The actions, he said, were a concerted effort to discredit Trump and “undermine America’s will to die.”
