According to this report, the military authorities of Burkina Faso announced this Wednesday that the coup d’état yesterday evening against “Ibrahim Travari”, the self-proclaimed president of the country, who himself came to power through a coup d’état, failed and was completely neutralized.

According to the authorities of Burkina Faso, a large number of supporters of Travari gathered in the main square of the city in the center of Ouagadougou, the capital of the country, at around 8:00 PM local time and started a demonstration against the coup plotters.

This rally took place after news of a coup d’état was spread on Burkina Faso’s social networks. Travari’s supporters asked people to come to the streets and chant slogans in support of him and the military rule in this country. Travari’s supporters waved the flags of Burkina Faso, Russia, Mali and Niger. Despite this claim, there is no mention of the party that planned the coup, however, some sources say that French supporters are behind the failed coup.

During last night’s demonstration, Travari’s supporters justified their gathering in the streets of Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso, saying that we have gathered in this square to prevent a coup.

Recently, with the developments in Niger and the coup that took place in this country against the pro-French government, Burkina Faso supported Niger and its ruling military council and warned against military intervention in Niamey.
