Pak Sahafat – In the UN General Assembly, the Prime Minister of Malaysia asked the Taliban government to cancel restrictive policies against women and girls.
According to the Pak Sahafat news agency, Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Malaysia, said at the 78th United Nations General Assembly that denying the right to education for women and girls in Afghanistan is a violation of Islamic teachings.

He expressed his concern about the humanitarian situation in this country by saying that the Taliban government should cancel the restrictive policies against Afghan women and girls.
Ibrahim added that the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan has intensified, especially due to three consecutive years of drought and the invasion of locusts, which has weakened the ability of farmers to harvest wheat.
He also noted that Malaysia is committed to people-to-people relations with Afghanistan and will continue these relations through humanitarian aid.
