Talib further stated: We are literally witnessing the genocide of people and the killing of a huge majority of them. Yet we still stand aside and say nothing.
After Tlaib’s speech, the protesters marched towards the Congress building and the administrative buildings of the House of Representatives and chanted the slogan “No weapons, no war, and only ceasefire”.
Rashida Tlaib is the first Palestinian woman of Muslim descent to be elected to the US Congress.
