Abu Muhammad al-Julani, the leader of the terrorists ruling Syria, confirmed on Sunday, while welcoming a media delegation in Damascus, that advanced negotiations are underway regarding a security agreement between Israel and Syria.
According to the report, Golani claimed that he would not hesitate to conclude any agreement that benefits Syria, and that any agreement with Israel would be announced publicly.
He added: Any peace agreement with Israel would be based on the 1974 armistice line, which preserves Syrian sovereignty and paves the way for confidence-building measures and possibly reaching a peace agreement.
Since the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s government, the Abu Muhammad al-Julani regime has shown various signals regarding fundamental changes in the Syrian political discourse and has announced its readiness for an open policy and normalization of relations with the Zionist regime.
During the first half of 2025, regional and European mediators stepped in to create a communication channel between Damascus and Tel Aviv.
