Meanwhile, Pakistani media quoted diplomatic sources as saying that the trip of the American delegation is the first official visit of the country’s top officials after the formation of the new government in Islamabad.

These sources added that after the recent visits of the high-ranking delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Saudi delegation to Pakistan, the visit of American officials to Islamabad is also considered very important regarding the country’s foreign relations.

The presence of American officials in Islamabad comes at a time when Washington is still trying to block the development of Pakistan’s relations with its neighbors, especially Iran.

“Donald Lowe”, the assistant secretary of state of the United States of America, emphasized the country’s opposition to the advancement of the gas pipeline of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan, and claimed that Washington is in contact with Islamabad about this project.

Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, considered the recent visit of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran to that country as important and emphasized: Islamabad does not care about US sanctions and will do whatever is in line with the national interests.
