The first ship of the Al-Samoud fleet enters Gaza waters.

The Palestinian Information Center wrote: Al Jazeera correspondent reported the entry of the ship “Mekonno-Al-Bireh” into the territorial waters of the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian Information Center added: This is the first ship from the global “Al-Samoud’ fleet that has succeeded in passing through the barrier of the Israeli naval forces.

Al Jazeera also reported, quoting “Hassan Masoud”, a reporter from the network who is accompanying the global “Al-Samoud” fleet, that the ship “Mekonno-Al-Bireh” has now entered the territorial waters of the Gaza Strip.

This ship is one of the independent ships of the “Al-Samoud” fleet, which had begun its journey via international routes to deliver humanitarian aid to the people under siege in Gaza.

Some Arab media outlets also quoted the American magazine Newsweek as saying that maritime trackers showed that the single-person ship was able to enter Gaza waters via a separate route, while the other ships in the flotilla were intercepted and seized by the Israeli army.

According to Newsweek, it is still unclear whether the Mikono-Al-Bireh managed to escape the control of Israeli forces or whether there was an error in the Israeli navy’s tracking system.

The Samood convoy, consisting of several ships, set off from the Spanish port of Barcelona in early September, and more than 500 activists from 40 countries are participating in this global fleet, including the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, the Global Gaza Movement, and the Samood Fleet.

Last Wednesday, the flotilla revealed that nine of its ships had been hit by 12 drone strikes, with several of them suffering material damage.

These developments come amid the ongoing blockade of the Gaza Strip by the Zionist occupation, which has been intensified since March by closing all crossings and preventing the entry of food and medicine into the Strip. According to statistics from the Gaza Health Ministry, this has led to famine and a humanitarian catastrophe that has claimed the lives of hundreds of people, including children and women.

On Thursday morning, the media reported that the Israeli Navy had seized and seized 13 ships from the flotilla, adding that the activists on board were on their way back to Europe. However, the entry of the Mikono-Al-Bireh into Gaza waters is a milestone in humanitarian efforts to deliver aid to the people of Gaza and break the decades-long blockade of the region.
