PNN – On the occasion of March 23 National Day of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the 77th year of the establishment of relations between the two countries, the flag of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Pakistan was placed on the Azadi Tower in Tehran.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Pakistan’s ambassador to Iran, Mohammad Mudassar Tipu, attended the ceremony of displaying the flags and playing the national anthems of the two countries at the Azadi Tower in Tehran on the eve of his country’s national day and Nowruz Eid.
The Embassy of Pakistan in Tehran said in a statement: This is the first time in the history of Pakistan-Iran relations that such a beautiful program is being held.
The statement said: The flag of Pakistan was depicted along with the flag of the Islamic Republic of Iran to depict the close and brotherly relations between the two neighbors. In this ceremony, the national anthems of both countries were also played.
The ambassador of Pakistan said in this ceremony that this is a historic moment in the relations of two brotherly countries that have common culture, history and traditions. Such events help to deepen relations between people and cultures.
A large number of Pakistanis living in Tehran and Iranian citizens also participated in this ceremony.
This year, Iran and Pakistan celebrate the 77th year of establishing diplomatic relations. After the independence of Pakistan in 1947, Iran was the first country to recognize Pakistan, and after the victory of the Glorious Islamic Revolution, Pakistan was also the first country to recognize the Islamic Republic of Iran.
