The former leader of the British Labor Party: Israel and its supporters must answer for the blood of the Palestinians

PNN – Referring to the increase in the number of Gaza martyrs, the former leader of the British Labor Party stressed that the authorities of the Zionist regime and their supporters should be held accountable for the blood of each and every Palestinian who was unjustly shed in this strip.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Jeremy Corbyn published a message on X social network (formerly twitter) and wrote: The death toll in Gaza has now reached 61,709 people. The true dimensions of Israel’s crimes are only now being revealed, and the authorities of this regime must be held accountable for every life lost. Likewise, people who continued to send weapons, knowing full well that they were aiding and abetting genocide.

Corbyn’s statements have been raised while the wave of criticism against the West’s military support for the Zionist regime has increased, especially in the United Kingdom and the United States. Over the past 15 months, Britain has sold billions of pounds of weapons and military equipment to the Zionist regime, and numerous reports indicate that this equipment was used in attacks against Palestinian civilians.

Meanwhile, a few days ago, the members of the “Independent Alliance” group in the British House of Commons sent a letter to Hamish Falconer, the British Deputy Foreign Minister, asking for clarification about London’s role in the Gaza crisis. In this letter, the representatives asked the government to explain the role of the Akrotiri military base in Cyprus in the transfer of weapons to Israel, as well as the government’s definition of “genocide”.

In response to these criticisms, Falconer spoke about the government’s role in supporting the Gaza ceasefire and sending humanitarian aid and claimed: We have been working since the first days of the Gaza crisis to help end the violence and reduce the suffering of the people. In this connection, he announced the allocation of 112 million pounds to help the occupied Palestinian territories.

However, critics have considered this answer to be inadequate and clichéd. Corbin wrote on X social network: The government continues to refuse to answer our questions about the definition of genocide, the legal advice it received and the use of the Akrotiri base. What does the government have to hide?

He further emphasized: The stereotyped and non-transparent response of the Deputy Foreign Minister to our initial request is extremely inadequate and he does not make any effort to answer the questions raised. We emphasize once again that we have the right to be aware of all aspects of the government’s participation and complicity in the genocide.

Corbyn, who is a staunch opponent of the war-like policies of the West, previously accused the British government of complicity in the war crimes of the Zionist regime and demanded the end of London’s military support to Tel Aviv. In one of his speeches, he emphasized that silence and inaction in the face of crime means complicity.

Experts and human rights institutions have also warned that the continued lack of transparency of the British government regarding its role in the Gaza crisis could have serious legal and political consequences for this country.

They emphasize that instead of giving clichéd answers, the government should take serious and transparent measures to respond to public opinion and parliamentarians; otherwise, the accusation of complicity in genocide and war crimes can become one of the most serious human rights charges against this country.
