PNN – The government media office in the Gaza Strip rejected the World Food Program’s decision to suspend aid to the north of the region, held the international community and the American government responsible for the famine crisis in Gaza, and warned of a catastrophe that would kill hundreds of thousands of Palestinians.
According to the International group of Pakistan News Network, while famine and hunger have spread throughout Gaza and this situation in the north of the Gaza Strip is far worse than other areas due to the occupation’s lack of permission for humanitarian aid to enter, and during the past week a large number of children in the north have died of starvation, the World Food Program affiliated to the United Nations announced that it will temporarily suspend its food aid to the northern Gaza Strip.
Suspension of World Food Program aid to northern Gaza
The World Food Program announced in a statement in this regard that the delivery of food aid to the northern Gaza Strip will be temporarily suspended until conditions are established that allow for safe distribution. The decision to stop aid to the northern Gaza Strip means that the situation there will be worse than before and more people will die of hunger.
The statement continued: We will look for ways to resume aid to northern Gaza in a responsible manner as soon as possible to avoid a bigger disaster. Gaza is quickly heading towards starvation and disease; Because it is not possible to provide healthy food and water, and in addition, all kinds of diseases have spread in this region and we are witnessing acute malnutrition.
Warning about the disaster of famine and the death of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians due to hunger
On the other hand, the state media office in the Gaza Strip absolutely rejected this action of the World Food Program and emphasized that this decision will lead to a deep global disaster, whose victims will be hundreds of thousands of Palestinians, including women and children. This action of the World Food Program means the execution and death of three quarters of a million people and worsens the humanitarian situation in Gaza in an atrocious manner.
This organization called on the World Food Program to immediately withdraw from its disastrous decision to suspend food aid to northern Gaza and emphasized: The UN and the international community are responsible for the consequences of this decision. Instead of shrugging off and running away from their international responsibilities, all UN institutions should immediately and without hesitation resume providing aid to all of Gaza, including the north of this area.

In the statement of the state media office in the Gaza Strip, it is said: hunger is deepening day by day in all of Gaza, where more than 2.4 million people live, and this situation is much worse in the north. We warn of a catastrophe that will kill more than 700,000 Palestinians.
This government institution of Gaza emphasized: Since the beginning of the genocidal war against the civilians in the Gaza Strip, the occupying regime has implemented the policy of hunger and thirst against these people, which has led to famine, and in the meantime, it has mainly focused on the northern region of Gaza.
The state media office in the Gaza Strip called on the free countries of the world and all international organizations, all Arab and Islamic countries, the League of Arab States, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council to break the siege of Gaza and put pressure on the Zionist regime to stop the genocidal war.
In the continuation of the statement of the state media office of Gaza, it is emphasized that at least 10 thousand trucks carrying humanitarian aid should enter Gaza in the next two days, and before a bigger disaster occurs, aid should be delivered to the north of Gaza. We consider the American government and the international community to be fully responsible for the famine disaster in Gaza, along with the occupation regime.
Nearly 5 months have passed since the Zionist regime’s genocidal war against Gaza, UN agencies have announced that clean water and food are extremely scarce in the besieged Gaza Strip, and almost all young children are suffering from infectious diseases.
“Ted Chaiban,” the deputy executive director of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), announced in this context: Gaza is about to experience an imminent explosion in the rate of child mortality, which could frightfully double the rate of child mortality in this region.
According to the UN report, some people in Gaza have resorted to eating fodder and hunger has spread throughout the region. Also, clean and potable water is not found at all, and people find only one and a half or two liters of non-potable water per day to meet their daily needs.
A few days ago, Dr. Hossam Abusafia, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in the north of the Gaza Strip, reported that during the past days, a large number of children in the north of the Gaza Strip died due to malnutrition, lack of food, and diseases and epidemics caused by the enemy’s continuous aggression and siege against this area.
