The Guardian’s account of Gaza residents being displaced again as war resumes

PNN – The resumption of the Israeli regime’s attacks on the Gaza Strip and the regime’s new attempt to evacuate the area from its inhabitants have once again displaced Palestinians, and Tel Aviv’s repeated violations of the ceasefire have dashed hopes for a complete end to the war and the establishment of permanent stability.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the Guardian newspaper wrote in a report about the new situation in the Gaza Strip following the resumption of the Israeli army’s aggressive attacks on the region: With the resumption of a new round of Israeli violence in the Gaza Strip a few days ago, Palestinian citizens throughout the region, including men and women, young and old, sick and healthy, have expressed their concern.

“Osama,” a 40-year-old Palestinian aid worker living in the coastal area of Al-Mawasi in the city of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, said: We had gained hope with the implementation of the ceasefire, but we still returned to the first house.

The Al-Mawasi area was introduced as a so-called “humanitarian” and safe zone at the beginning of the Zionist regime’s aggressive war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, but despite this, this area was not spared from Zionist attacks.

The Israeli military’s orders on Tuesday to evacuate areas in the Gaza Strip, as fighting resumed and airstrikes and shelling forced thousands of Palestinians to return to makeshift camps where they had taken refuge for months last year.

The new evacuation orders mean that more than 160,000 Palestinians must now leave their homes and live again in tents and temporary shelters.

Many in the Gaza Strip say they face the daily challenge of surviving in the tangled concrete and metal ruins that were once their homes, without running water, electricity or reliable communications.

Meanwhile, staff at the field hospital affiliated with the International Committee of the Red Cross in the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip have also reported receiving a large number of sick and wounded.

Almost everyone living in the Gaza Strip has been displaced multiple times, often after being ordered to evacuate by the Israeli military.

Al-Kafrana, a 28-year-old nurse who moved with his family from the town of Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip to the coastal camp of Al-Shati, 6 miles (10 kilometers) west of Gaza City, said: We were shocked by the new orders. We started gathering essential items and some food and immediately evacuated the area.

Like the Al-Mawasi area, Al-Shati camp is once again filled with newly displaced Palestinian citizens.

Relief agencies have failed to prepare for the massive influx of refugees and therefore lack almost all the necessary equipment to meet their needs.

News sources reported the martyrdom of at least 71 Palestinian citizens since Thursday morning in the Israeli regime’s attacks on the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli army resumed its military aggression against the Gaza Strip on Tuesday morning, violating the terms of the ceasefire, which has so far resulted in the martyrdom of more than 710 Palestinian citizens and the injury of 900 others. The resumption of the Israeli aggression has been met with a wave of international condemnation.
