The Guardian’s account of Gaza; There is no place for mourning.

The Guardian newspaper wrote in this regard: Iman Bashir is a woman from Gaza who described the current situation in this region as one of the 1.5 million people who became homeless as a result of the attacks of the Zionist regime.

Every morning she wakes up on the floor of a UN school in southern Gaza to see if her children are still alive. Bashir says that every day when I hear the sound of Israeli rockets, I feel relieved that at least my hearing is still working. According to this woman from Gaza, some survivors of the attacks tell her that they did not hear the sound of the explosion.

Bashir’s husband is studying abroad and this has made him take his three young children alone to a shelter in the south and find them food and water and distract them from the bombing.

This woman from northern Gaza describes the difficult situation she is facing after the attacks of the Zionist regime: “I try my best to stay strong, but the situation is difficult for a mother like me. I have to take care of my children and distract them. I have no time to mourn my loved ones. I literally have no time to cry.”

He who now lives in Jabalia refugee camp; Although the name is a shelter, 195 Palestinians were killed in the Israeli attack last week.

Bashir says that his forced transfer to this place in southern Gaza took place after the deadline of the Zionist regime and the evacuation of northern Gaza. But now this area is not safe from Israeli air attacks and in addition, it is facing a shortage of fuel, water, and food.

The lack of electricity is another challenge that this Palestinian mother has to deal with every day. For this reason, food must be prepared daily, and sometimes you have to walk for hours to find it, until you finally find something on the table to feed the children.

The lack of fuel has also made people use old methods such as carts and donkeys for transportation. In addition, the lack of fuel has also added to the concern of Palestinian refugees in the south about fueling food shortages. Because they will no longer be able to cook.

According to the Health Ministry of Hamas, more than 9,200 people have died in Israeli attacks and the United Nations has described the humanitarian situation in Gaza as “catastrophic”. According to international organizations, even the shelters are not safe and are targeted by Israeli shelling.

Bashir continued in this regard: I feel that the conditions we are living in are not real; We don’t have water and electricity, and at the same time, the rocket rain continues and the number of dead is increasing every day.

He continues to mention his job, that he was teaching English in a school in northern Gaza, and he once thought of taking school children on trips and camping in other areas. He then continued angrily: Now we are forced to live in tents. I had 200 students and now I don’t know about many of them. I know that many of them have been killed in Israeli attacks.

“I was always criticized as a teacher because I became attached to my students,” he says. But for now, I just hope they are alive and well. Because I always had the idea that they had the power to change everything. But if they leave, I don’t think things will change anytime soon.

According to IRNA, the Ministry of Health of Palestine, based on the latest statistics of the increase in the number of martyrs of the attacks since October 7, the Zionist regime’s army has reported 9,770 people in the Gaza Strip and said that 4,800 of them were children and 2 1,550 of them are also women. According to this report, 24 thousand 808 Palestinian citizens were injured during this period.

Thousands of people have appeared in the streets of many European cities, including Berlin, Paris, and Milan, in the midst of the continuous bombings of Gaza by the Zionist regime and demanded an end to this unequal war against the people of Gaza.

Although many Western governments have supported the Zionist regime, people from different countries have expressed concern about Israel’s attacks and bombings, which have killed and injured many innocent people in Gaza, and condemned their governments’ support for these crimes.
