The Hajj case was officially handed over to Syria after 12 years.
Syrian sources announced that after 12 years of hiatus, Syrians can go to Hajj this year from their own country.
“Ayman Susan”, the ambassador of Syria to Saudi Arabia, in an interview with Al-Watan newspaper of Syria, announced that Syrian citizens can go to Hajj after a 12-year hiatus under the management of the Ministry of Endowments of Syria.
He added that next month the Minister of Endowments of Syria will travel to Saudi Arabia to sign the final agreement in this regard. This action is in the framework of strengthening the desire of both sides to restore relations and there is a common desire and decision between the two sides to open a new page in these relations; Because both countries believe that the Arab status should be strengthened by creating a positive atmosphere and joint cooperation between friendly and brotherly Arab countries.
The Syrian ambassador also mentioned his meeting with the Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs Abdul Latif Al-Sheikh and emphasized that the meeting was very warm and friendly and the Saudi minister welcomed the return of Syrian diplomats to Saudi Arabia.
Ayman Sosan said that the relations between the two countries will witness further development in various fields, especially in the religious field, because Syria and Saudi Arabia have a common point of view in this field. The Syrian endowment minister invited his Saudi counterpart to visit Damascus and the Saudi endowment minister promised to travel to Syria as soon as possible.
