The Hamas delegation left Cairo without any progress in the negotiations.

The Hamas delegation left Cairo without any progress in the negotiations.

A senior official of the Palestinian resistance groups emphasized in an interview with Al-Mayadeen that all the efforts of the mediators to reach an agreement and exchange prisoners have failed due to the stubbornness and inconsistency of the Zionist regime.

This senior official of the resistance added: The leadership of the Palestinian resistance went to Cairo citing the national positions approved by all Palestinian groups. The demands of the Palestinians are clear and without achieving them, there will be no agreement or deal for the exchange of prisoners.

He pointed out that the demands of the Palestinians include an immediate ceasefire, the withdrawal of the occupying forces and the return of the refugees to the Gaza Strip and its reconstruction, the opening of all crossings to send aid, breaking the siege and a real agreement for the exchange of prisoners.

Pointing out that “no progress has been made in the negotiations so far”, this senior Palestinian official stated: The Zionist media lie and falsify news to deceive the public opinion, and if there are any new points in the negotiations, its official media sources will inform the Palestinian people.

Also, a senior member of the Hamas movement told Al Jazeera television that the negotiating team of this movement left Cairo today, Monday, intending to consult with the leadership of Hamas.

This senior member of Hamas emphasized that so far no progress has been made in the negotiations and the Zionist regime has not responded to any of Hamas’s demands.

All these developments come while Egyptian sources have reported progress in the ceasefire negotiations between Hamas and the Zionist regime in Cairo.
