The hostile stance of the US Department of Justice against Al-Sinwar.
According to Al Jazeera, the US Department of Justice announced criminal charges against senior leaders of Hamas, including Yahya al-Sunwar, the movement’s leader, and claimed they led the effort to kill civilians and destroy Israel.
These accusations were made because of the Al-Aqsa storm operation on the 7th of last October.
The names that the US Department of Justice has made unjust accusations against are; Ismail Haniyeh, the former head of the Hamas office, who was assassinated in Tehran on July 31, Yahya al-Sanwar, the current head of the political office of Hamas, Mohammad Al-Dzeif, the commander of the Qassam battalions and his deputy, Marwan Isa, as well as Khalid Meshaal, the head of Hamas abroad, and Ali Baraka, one of the leaders of Hamas.
US Attorney General Merrick Garland claimed in a statement: As stated in our lawsuit, the defendants, who are armed with weapons, political support and funding from the Iranian government and support from Hezbollah, are supporting Hamas’ efforts to destroy Israel and kill civilians in support of their goal.
