According to Reuters news agency, the International Court of Justice issued a statement and announced: The Republic of South Africa filed a lawsuit against Israel (regime) within the framework of the United Nations Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide in 1948, and Turkey also requested to join this case. has presented itself.
In this regard, the statement issued by the International Court of Justice states that Turkey has submitted a request to enter this case based on Article 63 of the Court’s Statute.
The aforementioned statement issued by the International Court of Justice further adds: that Turkey has presented its views on the correct interpretation of Articles I, II, III, IV, V, and VI of the Genocide Convention.
A delegation consisting of the Turkish ambassador in The Hague and members of the Turkish Parliament delivered Ankara’s request to join the genocide case against the Zionist occupation to the secretariat of the International Court of Justice in The Hague.
