The Israeli army released the Al Jazeera journalist after 12 hours

PNN – Qatar’s Al Jazeera channel announced that the Israeli army has released Ismail al-Ghul, the reporter of this channel, and a number of other journalists after being detained for 12 hours.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoting Al Jazeera Qatar Network, the Zionist regime soldiers arrested this journalist on Monday morning during the attack of the Israeli regime soldiers on the Shafa Hospital in Gaza City.

After his release, Ismail al-Ghul emphasized that the soldiers of the Israeli regime kept him and other journalists naked and blindfolded for 12 hours.

According to him, the soldiers of the Zionist regime severely beat him before arresting him.

Earlier, the Deputy Spokesman of the US Ministry of Foreign Affairs demanded an explanation from the Israeli regime following the arrest and captivity of an Al Jazeera journalist by the Israeli regime.

Also, Qatar’s Al Jazeera network demanded the immediate release of Ismail al-Ghul, the reporter of this news network, who was arrested by Israeli forces during the Israeli army’s attack on the Shefa hospital in Gaza.

In an interview with Al Jazeera, the UN Special Rapporteur for Freedom of Expression and Opinion, “Ireen Khan” also said that it is shocking to see this kind of treatment of the Zionist regime’s soldiers with Gaza journalists.

He added: Israel’s [regime] ignores the rules of international law regarding dealing with journalists in Gaza.

On October 7, 2023, the Palestinian resistance groups launched the “Al-Aqsa Storm” operation from Gaza against the positions of the Israeli regime, and finally, on November 24, 2023, a four-day temporary ceasefire was established between Israel and Hamas, or the pause for the exchange of prisoners between Hamas and Israel.

This pause in the war continued for 7 days, and finally on the morning of Friday, December 1, 2023, the temporary ceasefire ended and the Israeli regime resumed attacks against Gaza. In order to retaliate for the surprise attacks of the “Al-Aqsa storm” and to compensate for its failure and stop the resistance operations, this regime has closed all the crossings of the Gaza Strip and is bombarding this area.
