The Israeli cabinet gave the Mossad the green light to resume prisoner exchange negotiations

PNN – The war cabinet of the Israeli regime has given the green light to the head of the Mossad organization to resume indirect negotiations for the exchange.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the Israeli regime’s war cabinet is going to discuss (Sunday) the two issues of re-agreement on the exchange of prisoners with Hamas, as well as the conditions of Gaza after the war.

According to the Arab48 website, at the same time on the 86th day of the war, David Barnia, the head of the Mossad spy agency, has given the green light from the Israeli war cabinet to talk with Egypt and Qatar in order to exchange prisoners with Hamas.

The Hebrew channel “Kan 11” also reported that Qatar’s proposal includes the release of between 40 and 50 Israeli prisoners in exchange for a ceasefire of several weeks. The head of the Mossad has also claimed in a conversation with the members of the Israeli war cabinet that Hamas has failed to fulfill its condition for a “permanent ceasefire”.

However, in the face of this claim, which was previously covered by several Israeli media, the Hamas movement denied these claims in a statement and said: “There is no clear idea yet, but the backbone of any plan must include a complete and comprehensive cessation of attacks, and we must have the facilities and tools to stop the war.”

In the meantime, “Benyamin Netanyahu” also claimed last night that moves are being made in line with the prisoner exchange agreement. He declined to provide further details.

An Israeli official also told “Kan 11” channel: Discussions for a humanitarian agreement are underway. In the meantime, Israel must bear costs in the days of the ceasefire and also in connection with the Palestinian prisoners.

On the other hand, “Ziyad Al-Nakhleh”, Secretary General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement (Sunday), in a statement made the prisoner exchange agreement with Tel Aviv dependent on the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.

The Secretary General of Islamic Jihad said: “No prisoner exchange agreement will take place without the complete withdrawal of enemy forces from the Gaza Strip.” If these conditions are not fulfilled, nothing else is worth talking about.”
