The Israeli government proposed a plan to withdraw its military from Gaza.

The Hebrew-language analytical news outlet Bouhl reported that, amid negotiations to implement Trump’s plan to release prisoners and end the war, Israel has made it clear that the army will withdraw from the depths of the Gaza Strip in stages, but will maintain control of three strategic areas for years to come.

According to the Hebrew-language outlet, according to a report published this evening (Saturday) by Kan News, after the release of all prisoners, the Israeli army will withdraw from the depths of the war zones, but will maintain control of the Gaza Strip. At this stage, the forces will be deployed to the “yellow line.”

Later, after foreign forces enter the Gaza Strip – a process that is expected to take months, as part of the plan – control will gradually be transferred to an international Arab entity operating under the mandate of the United States, and the Israeli army will withdraw to the “red line.”

In the final phase, the Israeli army is expected to withdraw completely from the Gaza Strip and reinforce the buffer zone.

Israeli sources told Washington that there are three strategic areas that the Israeli army plans to maintain for the coming years: the buffer zone around the Gaza Strip, the Philadelphia axis on the Egyptian border, the Seventy Hill, also known as the Al-Mantar Hill, located in the Shuja’iyah area, the Karkar 70 mountain range, which is approximately 70 meters above sea level and is considered a central strategic point and overlooks large areas of the northern Strip, including Gaza, Shuja’iyah, Zeytoun and Jabalia, as well as nearby Israeli settlements such as Nahal Oz, Kfar Azza and Mefalsim, which are areas that will remain under Israeli occupation for the coming years.

Israeli sources said that the US has emphasized in its plan that it will determine whether or not Israel needs to survive in these areas.
