The Israeli regime illegally seized 13 ships of the Al-Samoud flotilla in international waters.

On the morning of Thursday, October 2, 2025, the Israeli Navy seized the ships of the “Samoud Flotilla” that were heading towards the Gaza Strip in international waters.

The flotilla consisted of 13 ships, including the “Otaria” boat, which, according to sources, was illegally attacked by the Israeli Navy.

In an interview with Al Jazeera, a spokesman for the “Resistance Flotilla” emphasized that despite this illegal action by the Israeli Navy, the flotilla’s path to breaking the siege of Gaza will continue.

He also stated that the proposal by some countries to send aid instead of the flotilla indicates their complicity in mass crimes against the people of Gaza.

He added: “The real solution is to end the siege of Gaza, stop the genocide, and allow free entry of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.”

In this regard, the Israeli Foreign Ministry announced that all the activists present on the “Samoud Flotilla”, who were trying to deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, are now on their way to Israel, and the process of their return to European countries has begun.

In response to this action, the Vice President of Spain issued a statement condemning the Israeli attack on the humanitarian flotilla, calling it “a crime against international law.”

Meanwhile, an Al Jazeera correspondent reported that at least 10 ships from the flotilla, including the “Shirin Abu Aqila”, are still on their way and are 40 nautical miles from the Gaza coast. However, 13 other ships have already been seized by the Israeli navy.
