The occupying army claimed that in this “special and focused operation”, it targeted Hezbollah’s military infrastructure, including weapons depots and tunnels, in the Labuneh and Jabal Balat areas in southern Lebanon.

The Israeli army spokesman’s statement regarding the operation stated: Soldiers of the 300th Brigade were dispatched to carry out special operations and prevent Hezbollah from re-establishing itself in southern Lebanon. They carried out an operation in Jabal Balat, destroying Hezbollah weapons depots and rocket launchers. Brigade 300 soldiers also discovered and destroyed quantities of Hezbollah combat equipment and weapons near the Labuneh area in southern Lebanon.

The Israeli army, which has been unable to confront Palestinian resistance groups in the Gaza Strip and has turned to the United States to establish a ceasefire, also claimed that it will continue to confront any threat against Israel and will prevent Hezbollah from regaining power in Lebanon.
