The United States and the United Kingdom to consider “rapid” military aid to Ukraine.
Ukraine’s new foreign minister, Anne-Dary Spikha, announced that the country’s officials held “detailed and constructive” talks with US and UK foreign ministers Anthony Blinken and David Lammy on Wednesday during their visit to Kiev, the capital of Ukraine.
Lebanon’s Younews news agency reported that Anthony Blinken and David Lemmy announced that they are committed to urgently reviewing Kyiv’s request for permission to use these countries’ military weapons to strike deep into Russian territory.
According to this report, Anthony Blinken announced during his visit to Ukraine that we are urgently trying to continue our guarantees for what the Ukrainian military needs to defend itself against Russia.
He added: “Our support for Ukraine will never be weakened and our alliance will never fall apart.”
On the other hand, British Foreign Minister David Lemmy promised that before the end of this year, hundreds of anti-aircraft missiles, tens of thousands of artillery shells and armored personnel carriers would be sent to Ukraine.
Lemy added: Britain will also grant 710 million euros of financial aid to Kyiv to improve Ukraine’s economic situation.
It should be mentioned that earlier, in a tripartite meeting, the Foreign Minister of Ukraine requested his Western allies to cancel the restrictions imposed by their Western military partners on the use of weapons against Russia and allow the country’s army to attack military targets in Russia.
