The German Ministry of Defense refused to discuss the contents of these conversations, but admitted that the German military is investigating whether “conversations in the Air Force were wiretapped or not.”

Margarita Simonyan, the editor of Rashatudi TV channel, published the text version of the audio file of the conversation between four German Air Force officers, including General Ingo Gerhalts, and claimed that he obtained this file from Russian security service officials.

In this 38-minute file, German officers discuss the operational details and objectives of the long-range “Taurus” missiles that Germany is going to send to Ukraine. And the conversation is conducted in a tone that seems to have agreed on all points and, moreover, discussed “how to logically deny the story in such a way as to justify Germany’s failure to cross the red line of direct confrontation.”
