Meanwhile, the White House has claimed that the American nuclear strategy is not against a specific country.
In response to the New York Times report, the Chinese newspaper “Global Times” announced that the US is using China as an excuse to maintain its huge nuclear arsenal after the Cold War.
This Chinese state media advised America to engage in an honest dialogue with this country instead of making noise against Beijing.

In a similar reaction, China’s Foreign Ministry assessed Beijing’s introduction as a nuclear threat as Washington’s attempt to score points in strategic areas.
