PNN – Bezalel Smotrich, the Minister of Finance of the Zionist regime, said on Saturday night that he believes that an Israeli settlement should be built in Gaza.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Qatar’s Al Jazeera network, Israeli media quoted Smotrich as saying: The only way to remove the threat of the Palestinian state is to exercise the sovereignty of the Israeli regime over the settlements of Judea and Samaria in the West Bank of the Jordan River using the biblical names.
He continued: I will never accept an agreement for the exchange of prisoners that will stop the war in Gaza.

Smotrich, who is known to oppose the creation of a Palestinian state and support the expansion of settlements in the West Bank, claimed on Monday last week that 2025 is the year of this regime’s rule over the West Bank.
He added: “Orders have been issued to prepare for the expansion of sovereignty over the West Bank, and it is time for Israel’s sovereignty to be applied to the West Bank in the new era of Donald Trump (President-elect of the United States).
This extreme Zionist minister also said earlier: I will fight with all my might against the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, I will also work to expand settlements in the West Bank and strengthen the security (regime) of Israel, because the vast majority of Israelis know very well that the establishment of an independent Palestinian state in the West Bank will endanger Israel will fall.
EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell also condemned Smotrich’s comments, saying they were a “clear step towards the illegal annexation” of the West Bank.
Stephen Seibert, the German ambassador to the occupied territories, also wrote in a message on the X social network (former Twitter) that the government of his country condemns these statements and declares them a threat to the stability of the entire region.
