PNN – Experts warned that the failure of the United States to end the war in Gaza and prevent the escalation of tensions in Lebanon will lead the region to a full-scale war.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Qatar’s Al Jazeera news channel wrote: A week before the attacks of the Israeli regime on Lebanon, which caused the martyrdom of about 500 people in one day, the United States sent its diplomat to the occupied territories with the alleged aim of promoting the reduction of tension.
Amos Hochstein, the envoy of US President Joe Biden, entered the region on September 16 with the aim of preventing the daily exchange of fire on the Israel-Lebanon border between Lebanon’s Hezbollah and Zionist forces.
But a day after Hochstein’s arrival, bombed communications devices linked to Hezbollah exploded across Lebanon, killing and injuring thousands in a massive attack believed to have been carried out by the Israeli regime.
Khalid Al Gindi, senior expert of the Middle East Institute think tank, said: The timing of Hochstein’s visit and the subsequent attacks by Tel Aviv on Lebanon show the pattern of Israeli leaders (regime) defying what the Biden administration wants from their main ally.
He told Al Jazeera: This is exactly what happened in the last 12 months: They [the Israelis] know that they have blatantly, categorically and repeatedly ignored all the warnings of the US government and there have never been any consequences.
Elgindi described the failure of America in putting pressure on the Zionist regime and implementing the ceasefire as catastrophic and said: Every aspect of American government policy has failed—humanely, diplomatically, morally, legally, politically, in every possible way.
Experts in this field point out that the conflicts in Lebanon are a continuation of the Gaza war, which has resulted in the martyrdom of more than 41,400 people, and there is no sign of abating.

Biden has confirmed that Netanyahu is not doing enough to finalize the peace agreement, but his administration has taken little action to pressure the Israeli regime and continues to supply the regime with weapons worth billions of dollars.
Jimmy Zogby, an expert at the Arab American Institute in Washington, said in this regard: Biden’s government has passively helped Netanyahu, who is seeking to prevent a truce to please the far-right coalition in his cabinet and ensure his political survival.
He told Al Jazeera: The Biden government knows this or should know this. If they don’t know, shame on them, and if they know and allow this to happen anyway, then shame on them twice.
Osama Khalil, professor of history at Syracuse University, also questioned the sincerity of the alleged diplomatic efforts of the American Democratic government and said: These efforts were for domestic political consumption on the eve of the American elections.
Khalil told Al Jazeera: All these were negotiations for the sake of negotiations, especially in a situation where war is becoming a hateful issue day by day.
The White House claims that the Israeli regime “has the right and responsibility” to target Hamas leaders. Most of the attacks of the Zionist regime have also faced such a reaction from Washington. The Biden administration has remained silent regarding the explosion of communications devices across Lebanon that killed and injured thousands of children, women and medical personnel.
In its official positions, the American government continues to claim that it does not want the escalation of tensions and is trying to prevent a wider conflict.
The United States refuses to pressure Israel to achieve Washington’s own policy goals, so it is trying to change the narrative, said Elgindi, an expert at the Middle East Institute.
The expert noted that the US refuses to put pressure on Israel despite the violation of humanitarian laws and the martyrdom of civilians and the implementation of a ceasefire. Therefore, they do not have a role in preventing regional war.
Elgindi said: If 500 Israelis were killed like the people who were martyred in Lebanon in just one day, the American government would describe such an attack as an undeniable act of war.
Zogby, an expert at the Arab American Institute, also said that the difference in the approach of the Biden government in response to this result is a simple fact: America does not consider the lives of Arabs and Zionists equal, and our lives are not very important to this government.
