PNN – Zohran Mamdani, after taking the constitutional oath on the Holy Quran at the historic Manhattan subway station, became the mayor of New York City, USA.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network citing Rasha Today, Zohran Mamdani, the Muslim and Democratic mayor of New York City, held his inauguration ceremony last night at the historic Manhattan subway station with a copy of the Holy Quran, thus officially beginning his tenure as mayor.

His swearing-in ceremony was administered by Letitia James, the Attorney General of New York State and his political ally, at the old City Hall station, one of the city’s earliest subway stations.
Mamdani is scheduled to take the oath again today at 1 PM local time in a more public and formal ceremony at the New York City Hall building. This ceremony will be attended by American Senator Bernie Sanders, one of his political role models.
By assuming this position, Mamdani has become one of America’s busiest politicians and is set to become one of the country’s most popular politicians.
In addition to being New York’s first Muslim mayor, Mamdani is also considered the first mayor of South Asian descent and the first Africa-born mayor. Assuming office at the age of 34, he is also one of the youngest mayors of New York in several recent generations.
