The open letter of the Committee of Journalists condemning the crimes of the Zionists

PNN – The Committee for the Protection of Journalists in a letter to Josep Burrell, the head of the European Union’s foreign policy, demanded that the Union take action to protect journalists from the Zionist regime.

According to Pakistan News Network, citing Anatoly, the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) along with 17 journalist organizations, asked the European Union to put pressure on the Zionist regime to protect journalists.

Committee to Protect Journalists is an independent and non-profit organization that was established in 1981 in New York, USA. Believing in the principle of “the necessity of a free press for the growth of civil societies”, this committee defends the rights of journalists around the world to prepare fact-based reports without fear of the consequences of publishing them.

This committee wrote in an open letter to Josep Borrell, the head of EU foreign policy: The unprecedented killing of so many journalists in a short period of time has obvious and profound implications for the ability of people, including EU citizens, to learn about war with local, regional and global implications.

According to published statistics, since the beginning of the Gaza war, 119 journalists have lost their lives in the direct fire of the Zionists or the bombing of the fighters of this regime.

The letter reads: We are writing to urge you to take immediate and decisive action to create conditions for safe and unrestricted reporting of hostilities.

At least 25,700 Palestinians have been killed and 63,740 wounded since the start of the Gaza war.

According to the United Nations, Israel’s war has displaced 85 percent of Gaza’s population due to severe shortages of food, clean water and medicine, while more than half of Gaza’s infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed, according to the United Nations.
