PNN – The 12th International Exhibition of Weapons and Defense Achievements hosted by Pakistan and attended by 55 countries including the delegation of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran was opened in the port city of Karachi.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network from Karachi, the opening ceremony of the largest arms and defense industry exhibition was held in the presence of Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif and heads of participating delegations at the International Exhibition Center of Karachi, the capital of Sindh province in the south of this country.
The delegation of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, headed by Brigadier General Dr. Mojtabi Ramzanzadeh, as well as Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moghadam and Iranian Consul General in Karachi, Hassan Noorian, attended this international event.
The pavilion of the Islamic Republic of Iran has been set up for the first time in Pakistan’s largest international arms exhibition with the aim of displaying the military achievements of our country, including indigenous industries in the field of defense, aerospace and electronic warfare.
The motto of this year’s Ideas exhibition is “Weapons for Peace; Global Cooperation and Strategic Partnership” is the main organizer of Defense Export Development Organization of Pakistan (DEPO) and many prominent countries in the field of defense production and military equipment will participate in it.
This international event, which was held every 2 years, was canceled in 2020 due to the Corona epidemic. The first Pakistan International Arms Exhibition was held in 2000.
