The President of Germany ordered the dissolution of the parliament

PNN – Today (Friday), due to the inability of the government, the President of Germany ordered the dissolution of the parliament of this country in order to hold early elections in early March.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the Associated Press news agency from Frankfurt added: Following the collapse of Olaf Schultz’s coalition government, German Chancellor Frank-Walter Steinmeier ordered the dissolution of parliament and the holding of new elections on February 23.

According to the report, after the resignation of Finance Minister Christian Lindner from the Free Democratic Party, Schultz faced the collapse of the tripartite coalition on November 6 and lacked the confidence of the parliament since December 16, and has been leading the minority government since then.

After the Second World War and according to the German constitution, the parliament of this country (Bundestag) is not allowed to dissolve itself and the decision in this field is the responsibility of the President of the German Republic.
