The pressure of anti-Israel activists in America on the Harris campaign for an arms embargo on Tel Aviv

PNN – Referring to the influence of pro-Palestinian groups on the results of the American elections and the effort of the “Non-Aligned National Movement” of this country to put pressure on the government for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza, “Newsweek” magazine wrote that at the same time as the Harris-Wallace campaign was heating up, these groups called for an arms embargo on the Israeli regime by the Democratic candidate.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network from this American media, several high-ranking officials of the American “Non-Aligned National Movement” and pro-Palestinian groups in this country met with Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who was recently announced as Harris’s campaign partner.

The report added: In this meeting, anti-Israel activists raised their concerns about “the supply of weapons by the United States for Israel’s war and occupation against the Palestinians” with the Democratic candidate and his deputy. They also called for a meeting with Harris to discuss the Israeli arms embargo and a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, the organization said.

This organization announced in a statement: The vice president has announced his readiness for future meetings with non-aligned leaders to discuss the arms embargo.

Meanwhile, the National Non-Aligned Movement managed to align more than 100,000 people during the participation in the US presidential elections to withhold their vote from US President Joe Biden in the Michigan primary because of the US government’s support for Israel. All of them had marked a box labeled “non-commitment” instead of Biden.

Newsweek added: Although Harris has repeatedly repeated his (alleged) position regarding Israel’s right to defend itself, he has also spoken about the humanitarian situation in Gaza many times. In a report of the White House call in connection with his January call with Isaac Herzog, the head of the Zionist regime, it is stated: The vice president reiterated the positions of the United States, including that Israel should be safe and that Palestinians should not be forcibly relocated from Gaza, and that Palestinians should have a promising political horizon.

Arab Americans have 5% of the vote in Michigan, 1.7-2% of the vote in Pennsylvania and Ohio. Biden won the 2020 election by attracting 50.6 percent of Michigan’s votes against Trump’s 47.8 percent. He still won 50.01 percent of the vote in Pennsylvania and defeated Trump by only 81,000 votes.
