The Prime Ministers of Pakistan and Iraq demanded an immediate ceasefire in Gaza

PNN – The Prime Ministers of Pakistan and Iraq, after reviewing the latest regional developments and focusing on the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza and Lebanon, called for an immediate ceasefire and the continuous delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, from the public relations of the Pakistan Prime Minister’s Office, Shahbaz Sharif met with his Iraqi counterpart Mohammad Shia al-Sudani on the sidelines of the 79th United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Shahbaz Sharif praised the cordial relations between the two brotherly countries and the strong historical, cultural and religious ties and appreciated the excellent actions of the Iraqi government in hosting Pakistani pilgrims.

They emphasized on further deepening and expanding the range of relations and utilizing the existing capacity between the two countries to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation.

While exchanging views on regional and international issues, the Prime Ministers of Pakistan and Iraq expressed concern over the escalation of Israel’s crimes in Gaza, aggression against Lebanon and the subsequent humanitarian disaster.

Shahbaz Sharif once again emphasized Pakistan’s demand for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the international community’s action to hold the Zionist regime accountable for the Gaza genocide.

The heads of Pakistan and Iraq also called for the strengthening of international efforts, especially in the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, to establish an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian brothers.
