The reaction of the Taliban to the decision to deport Afghan immigrants from Germany

PNN – In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the caretaker government of Afghanistan reacted to Berlin’s decision to deport Afghan nationals and expressed hope to solve the problem through “diplomatic channels”.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Afghan Foreign Ministry Spokesman Abdul Qahar Balkhi responded to the German authorities’ decision to deport Afghan nationals from the Federal Republic of Germany by posting a picture of the text of this statement on his personal account on the “X” social network.

In this statement, it is stated that the caretaker government of Afghanistan has been monitoring the decision to deport Afghan nationals from Germany and hopes that both countries can manage this issue through diplomatic channels to protect the rights of citizens in such a way that Afghan nationals can use this excuse. Do not face an unknown fate or be handed over to a third country contrary to all established conventions.

The statement further adds: Kabul requests the German authorities to address and resolve this issue through normal consular interactions and appropriate mechanism based on bilateral agreement.

In recent days, after the death of a police officer in an attack by an Afghan refugee with a knife, German Interior Minister Nancy Pfizer called for stricter approaches towards immigrants. He also announced that immigrants who are a threat to Germany’s security will be returned to their country.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the caretaker government of the Taliban, in the first reaction to the statements of German Chancellor Olaf Schultz regarding the possibility of deporting Afghans who have committed the “most serious” crimes, expressed hope that Afghans would not be sent to a third country in violation of accepted international conventions.
