The response of the UN reporter to the 4-hour ceasefire in Gaza is ironic and cruel.

“Francesca Albanese”, the UN special rapporteur on the Palestinian territories, has described Israel’s decision to create a 4-hour pause in the war as “very cruel and ironic”.

He said: “In Gaza, in this small land where people are trapped, continuous bombings have continued and 6,000 bombs have been dropped on this strip every week.”

“A 4-hour break has now been agreed to allow people to catch their breath and remember the sound of life without bombing,” said Francisca Albanese. It is very cruel and sarcastic.”

John Kirby, spokesman for the White House Security Council, claimed yesterday (Thursday) that the Israeli regime has agreed to establish a 4-hour ceasefire in northern Gaza. He said: “Tel Aviv has informed us that it will not carry out any military operations during this daily period.”
