The students of the University of California, USA prevented a Zionist from speaking.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, hundreds of anti-Israel protesting students broke the door and a window of the Zellerbach Hall of the University of California, Berkeley, and prevented a Zionist speaker from speaking.
Daniel Sabkin, one of the event’s organizers, who invited Israeli lawyer Ron Bar-Yoshafat to speak, said the crowd grabbed a student who tried to attend and called him a “dirty Jew.” And they spat on him.
“This is not the only incident at this university,” Sabkin said. This is an ongoing process that has been going on throughout the university. Hatred of Jews and targeting of Jewish students continues.”
“For many of us, this was the tipping point, it was a big blow,” he said. Anti-Israeli murals have been seen on the university campus for years.
UC Berkeley spokesman Dan Mogolf confirmed that about 200 student protesters stormed Zellerbach Hall, but he did not confirm that anyone was injured.
Students have long supported the Palestinians far more than Israel. But after the events of October 7, students’ support for the Palestinians only increased. Health officials report that Israel has razed most of Gaza to the ground, and the Palestinian people are traumatized, starving, and without medical care.
