According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing al-Quds al-Arabi, after every attack of the Israeli regime on the Gaza Strip, the residents of this area look for their martyred relatives and can hardly recognize the bodies of these martyrs. They try to do this through signs and symbols on the body or the remnants of the clothes of these martyrs.
For example, Manar al-Zaim, the wife of Martyr Anwar al-Zaim, 55, identified his body from the remains of his burnt clothes, teeth and beard.
He told al-Quds al-Arabi: It was during the morning prayer that we heard an explosion. We came out and saw the fire burning in the mosque. I started looking for my wife inside the mosque. The bodies of the worshipers were dismembered. Some did not have a head and some had a body. My wife had her legs amputated and her face disfigured. I put pieces of his body in a shroud with pieces of the bodies of two other martyrs.
Youssef al-Safadi, the brother of the 16-year-old martyr Hossein al-Safadi, also collected parts of his brother’s body after the Zionist attack.
He said: My brother’s face was completely burnt, his fingers were cut off and his head was shattered due to shrapnel, and I recognized him from the remains of his clothes. What I saw was terrifying and indescribable.
14-year-old Mohammad Al-Basyouni also said: I woke up with the sound of a terrible explosion. When I came out, I saw a huge fire and a lot of destruction. Many bodies were dismembered and I had to find my father among them. I found him with his leg cut off, his stomach torn and his head cut off.
He added: I recognized him from the old wounds that my father had on his leg. Rescuers started to collect the dismembered bodies.
The Zionist regime’s crimes against the residents of Gaza continue while the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced on Sunday that 40,972 Palestinian citizens were martyred during the 338 days of crimes committed by the Israeli army in this area.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health added: Since the beginning of the Zionist regime’s attacks on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, 94,761 Palestinians have also been injured.
