PNN – Palestinian supporters in the capital of Pakistan with a large presence in a symbolic sit-in to support the “Save Gaza” campaign, praising the fight of the Palestinian resistance fighters against the Israeli regime, demanding an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the practical step of their country’s government to defend Palestine and put pressure on it.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the symbolic sit-in of members of the popular campaign “Save Gaza” with the presence of political figures, student activists and civil society representatives was held in Islamabad city and in front of the parliament and the presidential palace of this country.
The participants strongly supported the continuation of the war of the Palestinian fighters, including Hamas, against the Israeli occupation, and demanded the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to hold the Zionist regime accountable for the war crimes and genocide of the Palestinians.
The speakers also asked the government of Pakistan to pressurize Israel and its supporters to establish a ceasefire and convey the protest of the Pakistani people to the passive role of countries such as the United States, England, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to their ambassadors in Islamabad.

Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, a former member of the Senate of Pakistan and a prominent member of the Jamaat-e-Islami party, strongly condemned the blind support of the United States and Europe to Israel in this sit-in and said: History will not forget the killers of the Palestinians and the supporters of the occupying aggressors.
During the sit-in, Humira Tayyaba, the director of the Save Gaza campaign, said: We will continue to support Palestine and raise awareness against Israel’s crimes against the people of Gaza, and we will never give in to internal and external pressures.
He added: We pay tribute to the courage and awareness of the pro-Gaza student movement in American universities and emphasize that the repression and brutal behavior of the police against protesters against Israeli crimes shows the hypocritical approach of Western governments regarding human rights.
According to this report, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan at the recent summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in the Gambia, while condemning the crimes committed by the Zionists in the Gaza Strip, demanded immediate action by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to help the Palestinian people and to pursue judicial actions against Israel in international forums.
On the sidelines of the 15th summit of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, during a meeting with his Saudi, Kuwaiti, Qatari, Egyptian and Turkish counterparts, called for an immediate ceasefire, an end to the attack on civilians, and the continuous delivery of humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.
