The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights’ account of the crimes committed in Homs and the Syrian coast.

According to Al-Mayadeen, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights condemned in the strongest terms the crimes committed against the people of this country in the city of Homs and the Syrian coast, describing them as crimes that include threats, intimidation, and blackmailing people, which endanger their lives and health, and include widespread human rights violations that may amount to inhumane crimes.

The statement adds that the continuation of these behaviors, which intimidate civilians and reinforce a kind of terror and chaos in Syria, is not in the interest of the current regime; rather, it is in line with the interests of its enemies and creates conditions of division and distrust in the country.

The organization called on Abu Muhammad al-Julani to conduct the necessary investigations with seriousness and determination regarding the case of crimes and mass killings committed last March, which are still continuing in a systematic and documented manner.

Human Rights Watch called on the Syrian government and the regime’s Ministry of War to expel unruly elements from these areas and replace them with disciplined elements who seek to establish security and stability in them, allow the return of refugees who fled their homes as a result of these crimes, and restore security and tranquility to the coastal provinces of Syria, especially the Alawites, who continue to live in the shadow of killing and threats.

The statement emphasizes that the disaster is exacerbated when aid organizations are also unable to access the repressed areas, and many logistical and security complications have arisen in this regard, which have caused the survivors to lack the smallest infrastructure of life, and these areas have become isolated areas filled with terror and death.
