Following the approval of this resolution, the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office announced: The trip of the Israeli delegation to Washington, which was supposed to discuss the operation in Rafah, was canceled.
Netanyahu’s office announced in this statement: America has withdrawn from its decisive positions and the Israeli delegation will not go to Washington. This American action harms the efforts to free the prisoners; Because it carries a message for Hamas that international pressure will allow a ceasefire agreement to be reached without the release of prisoners.
The American website Axios wrote about this, quoting an American official: “Some of Biden’s top advisers laughed after hearing Netanyahu’s new reason for canceling this trip after the UN Security Council vote.”
An American official also said that the cancellation of this trip and the rhetoric surrounding it by Netanyahu was an unnecessary show, and a senior Israeli official also agreed with this issue and said: Bibi (Benjamin Netanyahu) was wrong.
