In this operation, a significant number of occupying soldiers and officers, as well as members of a Shabak unit, were killed.
On November 11, 1982, Ahmad Qusayr, a 19-year-old Lebanese man, was able to destroy the building of the Israeli military ruler in Sur, Lebanon, with the explosion of a car bomb. Many intelligence and military forces of the Zionist regime were stationed in this eight-story building, and in this special operation, more than 74 Israeli officers and soldiers, including the military ruler of the Zionist regime, were killed in Beirut. However, after a few days, the Israeli media announced the death toll at 141 and reported that 10 people were missing.
Due to security reasons, the name of Ahmad Qusayr was kept hidden by Hezbollah in Lebanon until 1985, until Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah revealed his identity in a commemoration ceremony on the anniversary of this operation, which was held after the liberation of Lebanon in the town of Deir Qanun al-Nahar, the birthplace of this martyr. This revealed the Lebanese mujahid.
