PNN – Jinan, a 4-month-old baby girl whose mother spent weeks searching for a bottle of milk for her, is one of dozens of other Palestinian babies and children in Gaza who died due to hunger and the lack of the most basic amenities, in the shadow of the siege and brutal war of the Zionist enemy against this strip.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, with the death of another Palestinian baby in the Gaza Strip due to hunger, the number of people who have died of hunger in the Strip has reached 57, according to official statistics.
Jenan, a baby who died of starvation in her mother’s arms
A young Palestinian woman named “Ayeh Skafi” in a refugee camp in the Gaza Strip, holding her mobile phone, looks with tearful eyes at a photo of her newborn daughter, “Jenan,” who died in her arms yesterday due to severe malnutrition and lack of food and medicine.
Jenan, a four-month-old Palestinian baby, was born amidst the smoke of bombing and the roar of explosions during the genocidal war that the occupying regime has waged against Gaza with unlimited US support. She spent a few short months of her life hungry and lacking the most basic necessities, and was never able to live like a normal baby.
Jinan is one of dozens of Palestinian children and infants who have lost their lives in the Zionist hunger war against Gaza.

The agonized Palestinian mother says she gave birth to Jenan naturally, but she gradually became weak because there was no milk, medicine, or enough food. My daughter needed to leave Gaza for treatment of malnutrition, and we repeatedly asked for help to save her, but no one helped us.
He added: Jenan’s hospitalization was very painful, because I searched everywhere every day looking for a bottle of milk for her, but I couldn’t find any milk for my child.
57 children in Gaza die of starvation
On the other hand, Munir Al-Barash, Director General of the Gaza Strip’s Ministry of Health, announced that 91 percent of the population of the strip is suffering from a severe food crisis due to the ongoing siege and the closure of crossings.
Dr. Munir Al-Barsh stated in an interview with Al Jazeera: Fifty-seven children have died in Gaza from malnutrition, as the strip continues to experience a prolonged tragedy. Four-month-old baby Jinan Saleh Skafi died on Saturday morning from a lack of milk and severe malnutrition. He had been suffering from severe diarrhea for two months, bringing the number of children who have died from malnutrition in Gaza to 57.
He also addressed the case of “Malik Ahmed Al-Qanua,” a Palestinian newborn who was born without a brain in Al-Awda Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip, and said: This major complication that you see in this baby is due to the lack of adequate medication and many of the vitamins necessary for child care and brain development, and pregnant mothers here do not receive the slightest medical care and vitamins.
The Gaza medical official noted that the Zionists are also bombing densely populated areas in the Gaza Strip with explosives and banned chemicals, which has led to many cases of organ damage among fetuses, a phenomenon that occurred in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Dr. Madir Al-Barsh emphasized: An international commission should be formed to investigate the types of weapons used by the Zionist regime against Gaza that cause organ damage to fetuses and children. We also call on the Security Council to declare a famine emergency in Gaza in accordance with the general recommendations of the Secretary-General, the World Food Program, and expert reports.
