The ultimatum of American Muslims to Biden: Without a ceasefire in Gaza, there will be no vote.
American Muslims and some Democratic Party activists told Biden in a letter that if he does not take immediate steps to guarantee a ceasefire in Gaza, they will act to mobilize millions of Muslim voters and prevent their financial aid and vote for him in the election.

Muslim Americans and some Democratic Party activists say they will work to mobilize millions of US Muslim voters to block Biden’s 2024 re-election bid with donations and votes unless he takes immediate steps to secure a Gaza ceasefire.

According to Reuters, the National Muslim Democratic Council, which includes Democratic Party leaders from hotly contested states such as Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, called on Biden to avoid infiltration. use itself against Israel and mediate a ceasefire until 5 o’clock in the evening on Tuesday.

In an open letter titled the 2023 Ceasefire Ultimatum, Muslim leaders pledged to mobilize Muslim voters to prevent them from endorsing, supporting or voting for any candidate who supports Israel’s attack on the Palestinians.

The council wrote to Biden that the government’s unconditional support, including funding and weapons, has played an important role in the continuation of violence that has caused civilian casualties and destroyed the confidence of voters who previously voted for Biden.

Keith Ellison, a former representative of the United States House of Representatives, Attorney General of Minnesota, and the first Muslim to enter the United States Congress, and Andre Carson, a member of the House of Representatives from Indiana, are the co-founders of this organization.

According to Reuters analysis, this letter is the latest sign of growing anger and frustration in the American Arab and Muslim communities over Biden’s approach in not condemning the Zionist regime’s attacks on the Gaza Strip.

Health authorities in Gaza announced Monday that 8,306 people, including 3,457 children, were martyred in the three-week attacks of the Zionist regime on this besieged area.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday that he will not agree to stop the attacks on Gaza, and John Kirby, the coordinator of strategic relations in the White House National Security Council, claimed that Hamas is the only party that will benefit from the ceasefire at the moment.

American Palestinian lawmaker Rashida Tlaib criticized Biden’s support for Israel’s genocidal campaign in Palestine by publishing a video on X on Monday and said, “Don’t count on our vote in 2024.”

According to Jilani Hussain, executive director of CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relations in Minnesota, American Muslim leaders will make similar demands in other key states that are critical to Biden’s re-election in 2024. According to him, about 70% of Muslim Americans supported Biden in the 2020 election.
